On Halloween, clubs set up in the student parking lot for the annual White Plains High School Trunk or Treat, hosted by the Class of 2024. Each used Halloween-themed decorations to brighten up their car and attract pint-sized trick-or-treaters.
Among the participants, Class of 2026 went all out. They had a large and elaborate space, including fun Halloween-themed games such as cornhole, and even a cotton candy machine. Maeve, a member of the Class of 2026, said, “I loved seeing all the kids’ smiling faces as they played games for candy…it was such a blast, and I can’t wait for next year!”
Other displays included the Sci-Fi club, which decorated two cars with a Super Mario theme; Italian club, which disguised its trunk as a monster; Advocates for the Earth club; National Honor Society; the Orange, and many more.
The event had an amazing turnout. The parking lot quickly filled up with little zombies, witches, monsters, and ghosts. One parent posted on Facebook, “My family loved the event! My children loved everything especially how nice all the high school kids were.” Many more responded with messages such as “Well said and I totally agree! It’s a really nice event.”
Overall, kids and students had a blast. Thank you to all the student volunteers who helped make this year’s Trunk or Treat a resounding success.
