NHS Induction

Updated: May 2

 By Geremy Garcia

The National Honor Society Chapter at White Plains High School held their junior induction on Thursday, April 11, at 6:30 PM. One hundred and three junior scholars were inducted that evening with friends and family watching the spectacle.

The Honors String Ensemble gave a thrilling performance for all to hear. Ms. Lazala took the stage and shared her experience as an alumnus from the WPHS Class of 2010. Recounting the difficulties of being a first-generation student from an undocumented family, she shared her inspiring story of the college experience. She returned to WPHS in 2019 as a bilingual guidance counselor to help students with their upcoming college experience.

The entire chapter at WPHS has completed over 16,000 hours of service this school year. We congratulate the new arrivals on this momentous occasion.
