Key Club Helps Feed Over 50 Families This Holiday Season

By Orange Staff Writer

WPHS Key Club spent the months of October and November collecting food and donations from community partners, police and fire departments, wonderful WP alumni families, WPHS clubs, many staff members, students, our retired Key Club advisor, WPHS hockey team, Post Road food pantry, Wegmans, neighbors and friends. As a result, the club was able to donate full Thanksgiving meals to over 50 students and their families here at WPHS. House administrators, PPS staff, teachers, and guidance counselors played a huge role in identifying their students in most need and they were the vessel in getting these items to our students.

The Key Club advisor, Mrs. Woodward expressed her gratitude for all the generous, kind, caring and selfless students who this together for their peers.

"We have such a wonderful community here and I am so proud to be a part of it. Our next venture for Key Club will be a joint effort with NHS in collecting toys for our annual Toys for Tots drive with the US Marines and local fire departments."

If you'd like to donate to the Toys for Tots drive, please look for toy collection boxes in front of B123, C126, and other common areas throughout the next few weeks.
