Key Club Blood Drop Wall

By Lauren Elmer

The WPHS Key Club has been working with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society for many years. Students have collected donations for the organization through the “Pennies for Patients” initiative where coins are collected in cardboard boxes over the entire school year.

At different school events since September, Key Club has been collecting donations for the L&L Society in exchange for paper blood drops that are signed and then hung up in the hallway outside of the Main Office. So far, the club has generated over $400 and has about forty blood drops hanging in the hallway.Key Club’s goal is to generate $2,000 by the end of March, so please show support at their carnation sale the week leading up to Valentine’s Day. There will be carnations for sale everyday in C-corridor during lunch at $3 each or $5 for two. See you there!
