“Fiddler on the Roof": Fun Coming to a Theater Near You

By Gabriel Bernstein

With the student body transitioning out of the sobering onslaught of testing from midterm week, the desire for excitement and fun is high. Fortunately, the upcoming performance by the Theater Club, "Fiddler on the Roof," has students at the edge of their seats with their ambitious performers and creative sets. Here’s the inside scoop.

We were fortunate enough to interview two members of the performance. One, who chose to remain anonymous and has years of experience in stage crew, claimed that the performance will be revolutionary. “Our team has worked hard, and I can’t wait to see it come to fruition,” said our source. When asked about the sets, the source claimed that it took three months to perfect them, even with organized schedules and a collaborative team. The settings and props are sure to be a hit with the audience this year.

We also interviewed actor Olivia Perretto, who said the following about the cast's dedication to the play: “Auditions happened in early November. Rehearsal is two to four hours a day every day. We even practice on Saturdays.” Working diligently is a must for our determined performers in the play this year. Olivia also claimed that they had to think on their feet at times during practice to help with improv and prevent awkwardness during the performance.

Even with obstacles like midterms, our theater crew can proudly announce the opening of "Fiddler on the Roof." Now, with our exciting performance just around the corner, I’m confident that we can all expect a fantastic show.
