On February 26, 2024, President and CEO of Montefiore Einstein, Dr. Philip Ozuah, announced a generous gift received from Ms. Gottesman of $1 billion. Such a donation is the largest ever made to any medical school in the country. The Albert Einstein College of Medicine has announced that students will no longer have to worry about paying for tuition. According to einsteinmed.edu, receiving such a big donation “radically revolutionizes the college’s ability to continue attracting students and staying committed to their mission of advancing human health.” This paints a bright future for the advancement of science.
