Key Club Mother’s Day Donation Drive

By Lauren Azrin

As we approach the celebration of Mother’s Day, it’s important to remember to incorporate giving back into our holiday plans.

White Plains High School’s Key Club, in partnership with The Lady Box Project in White Plains, is leading this initiative, with a donation drive of essential products for women. These will be made into baskets for Mother’s Day that will be sent to women in local shelters and organizations.

The Key Club is collecting the following products: body

wash, soap, sanitary products, toothpastes, toothbrushes, shampoo, conditioner, hairbrushes, hand sanitizer, creams and lotions, deodorant, body wash, reusable masks, and hair ties. All donated items should be new.

These items are easy to buy, but will make such a huge impact on those that receive them. Any donation, no matter the size, will be greatly appreciated.

Items can be dropped off in B229 and will be collected until April 15th. You can contact Linda Woodward, the advisor of the Key Club, at lindawoodward@wpcsd.k12.ny.us with any questions, or to arrange a drop off if you are an all-virtual student.
