Global Ambassadors

By: Alisha Ahmed

Students can serve in our community and collect money for organizations that deal with global challenges through the Global Ambassadors Club. In partnership with Chipotle, Global Ambassadors raised money for the 2021–2022 academic year, with 33% of the event purchases going to the Ronald McDonald House. The club also held a fundraiser to support Heart to Heart International's aid efforts in Ukraine. Overall, the club had a fantastic previous year and was able to support numerous charities and provide aid to individuals all around the world.

Club officer Elie Goldman established objectives for the Global Ambassadors club for the 2022–2023 academic year. The club wishes to continue improving both their community and other communities. Global Ambassadors plans to meet three to four times a month, aims to organize at least one fundraiser annually, and hopes to collaborate with charities to help those in need. Some of the ideas are to help with the Pakistan flood crisis, Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico hurricanes, Abbott House Donation, Hudson River Clean Up, and Ukraine.

We need the assistance of our White Plains High School students to make these goals a reality. The Global Ambassadors club meets on Mondays from 2:30 to 3:00 PM. Join the REMIND at @gam22.
