As the new school year is already flying by, the Class of 2024 officers are excited to get things going! The junior class elected their officers last month, and the results are Eva Mandelbaum as President, Elizabeth Quinones and Salma Cannone as Co-vice Presidents, Emiliano Juarez as GO Representative, Leah Dennis as Secretary, and Amber Lau as Treasurer. Keep in mind that even if you are not an officer, there are still many ways to get involved! To get updates on Remind, students can join with the code @wphs2024.
A number of students stopped by at the club fair stand, to buy “dubset” bracelets and temporary paw print tattoos, as well as to sign up for a student government committee. These include the fundraising committee which will work on merchandise and bracelet sales, the junior prom committee, and the coffee committee to prepare and deliver orders for teachers. Looking ahead, there will be events Double Good popcorn fundraiser this November – more information will be out soon. Some things to be excited about later this year for the junior class are the Powder Puff football game (juniors vs. seniors) and the junior prom.
